I am a warm, supportive and compassionate clinical psychologist dedicated to helping people overcome the challenges affecting their lives.

I hold a Master of Clinical Psychology and I’m also a member of the Australian Clinical Psychology Association and the Australian Association for Cognitive Behaviour Therapy.

Throughout my psychology career, I have worked in various sectors of the community from child and youth mental health services to aged care. I have worked in a Behavioural Disorders Research Program at UTS and have spent time working as a volunteer counsellor for Lifeline.

I am highly experienced in helping with issues such as:

  1. Depression
  2. Stress (such as work-related stress)
  3. Adjustment difficulties (such as changes in life stage)
  4. Anxiety (including panic attacks, social anxiety, phobias, obsessive compulsive disorder and generalised anxiety)
  5. Grief and loss
  6. Parenting issues
  7. Child, Adolescent and Family issues
  8. Relationship issues

Scarlett Gill’s psychological therapies

I mainly use cognitive-behavioural therapy, however I work closely with my clients to identify the most suitable approach. I incorporate techniques and strategies from other therapies such as acceptance and commitment therapy, schema therapy, mindfulness-based therapy, dialectical-behaviour therapy and EMDR (Eye Movement Desensitisation and Reprocessing) therapy.
