Clinical Psychologist Fees during COVID-19 Pandemic

The Government has made an allowance for psychologists to offer Medicare supported Telehealth and Phone consultations during this unprecedented COVID-19 Pandemic.

Face-to-Face consultations

For those who would like to continue sessions in person, I still offer sessions at Next Practice, corner of Bridge and Pitt St, CBD on certain days. These sessions will observe social distancing and appropriate hygiene practices. For more information on hygiene and illness, please see below.

 

My standard Clinical Psychologist fees

Please feel free to discuss the standard clinical psychologist fees when you make an appointment or enquiry. The current recommended rate for a clinical psychologist as recommended by the Australian Psychological Society is $261.80. Our standard fee is in line with this recommended rate.

 

Medicare

If you have a GP referral and mental health care plan, you may be able to claim for psychological services through medicare. Currently, the Medicare rebate for a clinical psychologist is $124.50.

 

Health Fund

You may be eligible for a rebate for psychological services with your health fund.

 

Special Circumstances and Concessions

Bulk Billing is available for concession card holders and individuals with special circumstances such as financial hardship. Please feel free to discuss this with us when you make your appointment.
